This place has wonderful food. We picked up food for 4 adults and 2 kids. We all tried each other's food and thought everything was so tasty. We visit the people that live close to this restaurant on a monthly basis, and all of us look forward to eating the food from this establishment. Can't wait for our next visit. We have even picked up several of their unbelievable shakes. Wait until you try one of those! All of us recommend you try this place.

We have been here several times as we have a place at Laurel Mt. for 30 years. This place NEVER disappoints. The service is always cheerful and prompt. Last night's meal was amazing. I had crispy beef and mushroom "ramen ish ", husband had the smash burger and our friends had beef medallions and the rotisserie chicken baguette. We even tried the samosa nachos which were spicy and so flavorful. It's byob, what's not to love!

It's been a few years since I was here, kind of forgot about it. But tonight we drove past on our way to Johnstown and said we had to stop on the way home. So happy we did! The sandwich board outside with the daily specials caught my eye, especially the seafood puttanesca entree. I ordered it and I was hungry and I started eating before taking the photo. Oops! So my photo shows a chowed down version of the dish. It was loaded with seafood. Six shrimp, probably about 8 mussels, half dozen or so clams, all in a delicious red sauce with capers and olives puréed into the sauce. It came with 2 slices of tasty garlic bread which were delicious on their own, but better when scooping up that wonderful sauce. The bucatini was perfectly Al dente, and the whole dish was 5 star. My daughter got the Lo Mein with spicy pork. She loved it and her dish is also shown half eaten. The only food that wasn't 5 star was the mango Jalapeño ice cream. She said it tasted slightly old and not like mango or jalapeño. Maybe it's not popular and was sitting around for a while? The decor is funky, mismatched dishes, plastic chairs, Christmas ornaments hanging from the ceiling. Funky but charming. The Fat Squirrel has a menu where I'd eat everything on it, so you can definitely find something to your liking too. Don't pass by this quirky little eatery on Route 30! Stop in and try it!
